[recruitment background information, project description.]
(1)Center for Synchrotron Radiation Research
Center for Synchrotron Radiation Research recruit researchers who will carry out the research and development of new measurement technologies using high-brilliance hard X-rays and soft X-rays of SPring-8. And also, the researchers utilize these technologies, exploring new needs of users, supporting for users experiments, and operation and maintain of beamlines.
We are seeking researchers working at X-ray spectroscopy beamlines such as XAFS, X-ray emission spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Especially, we welcome researchers who take an initiative in development of new measurement techniques such as in-situ/operando measurements, spectroscopy imaging, time-resolved measurement, and automation technologies.
1-2)Diffraction and Scattering Division
We are seeking researchers who will support the users at beamline, maintain experimental instruments, and improve the beamline performance through constructing new instruments. The researchers will also develop own research program for user experiments using our beamlines. The researchers with background in X-ray single-crystal structure analysis, thin-film characterization with X-rays, the Compton scattering, or high-pressure physics with X-rays, are highly encouraged to apply.
1-3)Scattering and Imaging Division
We are looking for researchers who are enthusiastic about advanced research and also the developments related to the following items: 1) Scattering research field, high-speed time-resolved X-ray scattering experiments and data analysis; 2) Imaging research field, new image analysis technology, measurement technology, and sample preparation technology. We also welcome researchers who discover new user needs and expand user fields while working with team members.
1-4)Industrial Application and Partnership Division
The researches for the development of products in the industrial field should require advanced analytical techniques in order to investigate properties of the materials and the products and clarify their mechanism. We welcome researchers who dedicate themselves to the development of techniques of diffraction, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, etc. and seek out new industrial applications of these technologies.
1-5)Industrial Platform Development Division
We are seeking motivated researchers for conducting development of scientific instruments for SPring-8 beamlines so as to promote a broad range of outputs including industrial-related outcomes. We welcome those who are enthusiastic about development of instruments for automated X-ray CT or X-ray diffraction in the high-energy region.
(2)Light Source Division
The light source division is seeking at most threeThe light source division is seeking researchers who will eagerly engage in the operations and developments of the accelerator in SPring-8. The position will also be involved in one of the developments for the planned accelerator major upgrade. The field of job includes beam dynamics, RF devices, vacuum, beam monitors, and control systems, but the experience is not mandatory. We welcome those who are interested in accelerator technology and principles, actively challenge issues, and contribute to the realization of future light source accelerators while making small breakthroughs.
