Postdoctoral Positions in Computational Material Science and/or Quantum Computer

Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions available at Laboratory for Materials and Structures, Tokyo Institute of Technology. The appointment is basically one year but could be extended under mutual agreements.

The aim of the research project is the following three:
1, First-principles calculations to novel electronic devices by developing new methodologies (including Materials Informatics approach) and by utilizing the supercomputer facilities in Japan, and to make breakthroughs in condensed matter physics and materials science.
2, Establishment of advanced computational approaches on a quantum computer by developing quantum algorithms.
3, Applications of MI techniques for new material search.

The successful applicant is expected to have backgrounds of physics and/or chemistry and/or informatics and/or mathematics. Having an experience of quantum information would be a plus, but not necessary.
