Skills/Qualifications
The person must have a research profile to work in the field of creation and exploitation of knowledge graphs generated from distributed data sources using linked data and semantics. Knowledge of the Internet of Things, data integration, definition of mappings to integrate heterogeneous data sources, validation of knowledge graphs, and machine learning on knowledge graphs and IoT data will be an asset.
The person must have a developer profile with experience and autonomy in the design and development of web services. For the development of these services, the person must know at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript) and at least one framework for the development of services. It is also essential that the person has a solid knowledge of semantic technologies such as RDF, RDF Schema, SPARQL, and linked data. Finally, experience in machine learning techniques and frameworks (Scikit Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Weka) is required.
Knowledge of RDF materialisation libraries, SPARQL query rewriting, as well as any technology for translating heterogeneous data into RDF will be an asset. Knowledge of technologies such as Git or Docker will also be an asset. As well as other semantic web related technologies such as SHACL shapes, RDF4J, triple stores, mapping languages (R2RML, RML), etc.
The capacity to define and develop his or her own research line, to manage projects, teamwork skills, initiative, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a multinational and multidisciplinary team will be an asset.

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to research artificial intelligence techniques working on knowledge graphs in the domain of the Internet of Things. The candidate will be expected to undertake both research and development tasks.
The language in the job will be English; therefore, a good level of spoken and written English (at least B2) is essential.
The person will become part of a team working in the Ontology Engineering Group, being part of the European H2020 AURORAL project team and collaborating with members of the OEG.
