OFFER DESCRIPTION

The research aims towards the analysis, collection, data entry and cataloguing of archaeological data related to the structures and archaeological deposits of the temple on the acropolis. Goal of the research is to spread light on how the sacred space was used during its phases of use starting from the archaeological materials found and contextualising this evidence in the known ritual practices well attested in textual and archaeological evidences in the region. This work would insert Tell Afis in the Aramean religious history of the 1st Millennium BC. A good archaeological experience, know-how on the documentation system used at Tell Afis and a strong experience on archaeological analysis and history of religion are required.
