OFFER DESCRIPTION

Research work will be carried out at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw within a NCN-funded research project on Nanophotonic hybrid materials based on strong coupling of light to excitons.

The scholarship holder will perform research at the intersection of electrodynamics, materials engineering, and condensed matter by studying novel nanophotonic materials for strong light-matter coupling. The goal of the project is to understand the properties of self-hybrydized excitonic materials and coupling to their innate electronic and/or vibrational transitions, coupling them to nanoscale plasmonic antennas and study strong-coupling-induced modification of the energy landscape of molecular transitions or semiconductor excitons for cavity enhanced chemistry.
