In Laboratory for Future interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, realization of advanced technology for photonic integrated devices and their application to optical communication system and sensing, etc., have been pursued.

[Job description ]

- The successful candidate will be required to carry out research on large-scale photonic integrated devices and their application to optical communication and/or sensing systems, etc., with nanofabrication process facilities such as Tokyo Tech Nanotechnology Platform.

- The successful candidate will join a research group in Quantum nanoelectronics Research Center, FIRST.

- The successful candidate will also be required to engage in teach, and supervise undergraduate and graduate students with Electrical and Electronic Engineering Major in School of Engineering.

- The successful candidate will have Lectures in graduate Major in English, and in undergraduate Major in Japanese.

[Salary]

The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance" pursuant to the Institute's Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment, and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.

●Annual salary examples (The amounts listed below are only examples provided in the regulations and do not relate to this position.)
・Professor who has 15 years of work experience after completing a doctoral degree.
Standard: JPY 9,400,000
Minimum*: JPY 8,600,000
Maximum*: JPY 10,700,000
*The minimum and maximum amounts will vary depending on performance.
