The Faculty of Protestant Theology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz Germany invites applications for the position of
University Professor of Systematic Theology (Focus on Dogmatics)
beginning on April, 1st, 2022.
Salary grade W 3 LBesG | Civil servant (tenured)
Tasks and expectations:
We are looking for a candidate who represents the complete discipline of systematic theology (with a focus on dogmatics) in research and teaching.
The professor is expected to teach courses in the faculty’s programs (B.Ed./M.Ed. Protestant Theology/Religious Studies, B.A. Protestant Theology (minor), certificate program Protestant Theology, Focus Protestant Theology/Religious Studies in the Business and Economics Education program, Magister Theologiae, part –time master’s program).
The ability to cooperate with interdisciplinary research initiatives at JGU as well as experience with competitive third-party funding are required.
We expect the successful candidate to get involved in academic self-administration.
