The competition may join those who meet the conditions specified in the Act of 20th of July 2018 (Dz.U. 2018, poz. 1668) "Law on Higher Education" and the Statute of the University of Wroclaw.

The conditions that the candidate should meet:

•        the candidate must hold a PhD degree in the field of art history or art sciences;

•        significant publication achievements, especially: publication in the last five years of a scientific monograph or at least two scientific articles in journals assigned to the discipline of Art Sciences and on the ministerial list of scoring journals;

•        documented scientific activity in the realm of arts studies or history of art, especially: in the last five years, obtaining, conducting or participating in a national grant of one of the indicated institutions (Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, NCBiR, FNP) or obtaining equivalent financial support for research from national or foreign institutions or submitting at least one application in grant competitions that was assessed positively (in the case of known scores reaching a minimum of 70%) in the last stage of the assessment, but did not receive funding due to lack of funds;

•        having a special knowledge of the history of Early Modern art, with particular emphasis on the 16th and the first half of the 17th century;

•        Research activity on Early Modern art in its various aspects documented in publications, with particular emphasis on the place and role of visual arts in in the emergence and development of the Early Modern confessions, their mutual dialogue and conflict;

•        documented teaching experience in higher education (the selection board reserves the right to ask for an open lecture from candidates standing for the competition),

•        ability to conduct classes in Polish

•        ability to conduct classes in foreign languages (including English)

•        active knowledge of at least one congressional language, confirmed by participation in foreign scientific conferences with a lecture.

•        the selection board reserves the right to invite candidates participating in the competition for an interview;

•        the commission reserves the right not to select a candidate if participants do not meet certain conditions.

Candidates joining the contest should submit the following documents:

•         curriculum vitae;

•         personal questionnaire;

•         copy of the diploma confirming obtaining the academic degree of the Master's, doctoral or habilitated doctor in the required discipline;

•         report containing the characteristics of scientific experience, didactic experience and other achievements in the field of organization and popularization of science, participation in conferences, awards, prizes, grants and educational projects;

•         list of publications;

•         electronic versions of the two most important publications (or typescripts of unpublished works) which the candidate considers to be representative of his or her scientific output;

•         two letters of recommendation, with the proviso that these letters are sent electronically to the Chairman of the Competition Committee at Artur.Blazejewski@uwr.edu.pl without the intermediation of the candidate and are open only to members of the Committee, and the candidate waives the right by entering the competition see these lists.
