The reconstruction of the organization of administrative complexes in the Syro-Anatolian area and in Upper Mesopotamia between the Late Bronze and Iron ages, through the technical analysis of published complexes and their comparisons with the new data obtained through the archaeological excavations in Karkemish and Nineveh, will allow to reconstruct the urban functional hierarchy of the vast capitals within the area considered. The topographic research, also on the field, will be instrumental to elaborate and interpret the spatial data collected on the administrative complexes which had been given administrative functions within the different geographic areas and chronological periods considered. The 3D modeling on the basis of the scientific data recovered in the archaeological excavations will allow to shared with a wider public the outcomes of the project.
