A call is open for the attribution of 1 (one) Post-doctoral Grant, under the Erasmus+ Project, European Union Programme, CIRC.LE – CIRCular & Socio-Civic Learning Hub.
Scientific Area: Humanities or Social Sciences
NOVA School of Science and Technology - FCT NOVA under the Erasmus+ Project, European Union Programme, CIRC.LE – CIRCular & Socio-Civic Learning Hub is now opening an international call for a Post-doctoral grant. The project’s aims objectives are available at https://blogs.upm.es/circle/
1. APPLICATION SUBMISSION
Applications are welcome from February 1, 2023 to February 15, 2023, 23:59 (Lisbon time).

2. TYPE AND DURATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS
This Post-doctoral grant has the duration of 12 months.
3. ADMISSIBILITY
3.1 Candidate Eligibility Requirements:
National citizens or citizens of other member states of the European Union;
Citizens of third countries;
Stateless;
Citizens benefiting from political refugee status.
To hold a doctoral degree in the field of Humanities or Social Sciences.
3.2 Admissibility Requirements
The following documents are mandatory:
Identity elements: citizen card/passport;
Letter of motivation;
Candidates' civil, tax and, when applicable, social security identification number;
Documents proving that candidates meet the required conditions, namely qualification certificates of all academic degrees obtained or respective recognition;
Curriculum vitae updated and available on the CIÊNCIAVITAE platform. Empty CVs on the CIÊNCIAVITAE platform will not be considered.
4. WORK PLAN AND SCIENTIFIC SUPERVISION
The scholarship holder's work plan will be defined by the local Coordinator of the CIRC.LE project, who will supervise the progress of the research. The workplace is NOVA School of Science and Technology – FCT NOVA, Department of Applied Social Sciences.
5. EVALUATION CRITERIA AND BONUSES
5.1 Evaluation Criteria
The assessment takes into account the merit of the candidate and the interview.
Applications considered admissible will be scored on a scale of 0 to 20 points, taking into account:
1. Criterion A: Academic profile, weight 40%
Appropriateness of the doctoral course and dissertation to the research to be developed (20%);
Quality of the CV and its appropriateness to the research to be developed (20%).
2. Criterion B: professional profile, weight 40%
Work/research experience in international research projects within the same scope of CIRC.LE (20%);
Work/research experience in areas related to CIRC.LE (20%).
3. Criterion C: Interview, weight of 20%.
The interview aims at assessing the candidate's scientific production potential in the area of the call.
Candidates will be ordered according to the weighted average of the classification obtained in each of the three criteria. translated by the following formula:
For tie-breaking purposes, the ranking of candidates will be based on the ratings assigned to each of the evaluation criteria in the following order of precedence: criterion A, criterion B, criterion C.
6. EVALUATION
The composition of the evaluation panel is as follows:

The minutes of the evaluation panel meetings will be signed by all the members of the panel present in the meetings
The minutes and their annexes must include the following information:
• Name and affiliation of all evaluation panel members;
• Identification of all excluded applications and respective grounds;
• Final Evaluation Sheets for each candidate;
• Methodology adopted by the panel for cases considered particular;
• Provisional ranking and ranking list of candidates, in descending order of the final ranking, of all applications evaluated by the panel;
7. COMMUNICATION OF RESULTS
The evaluation results are communicated via email to the email address indicated by the candidate in the respective application.
8. DEADLINES AND PROCEDURES FOR PRIOR HEARING, COMPLAINT AND APPEAL
After communication of the provisional list of evaluation results, candidates have a period of 10 working days to, if they wish, comment at a prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of articles 121 and following of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
The final decision will be issued after analyzing the pronouncements presented in the prior hearing of interested parties. Complaints may be presented against the final decision within 15 working days, or, alternatively, appeals may be presented within 30 working days, both counting from the respective notification. Both complaints and appeals must be submitted by the candidates to the President of the evaluation panel.
9. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD REQUIREMENTS
CIRC.LE’s Post-doctoral grant contract is signed directly with NOVA School of Science and Technology – FCT NOVA.
The documents required for contracting purposes will be provided to the candidate selected by the competent services of NOVA School of Science and Technology – FCT NOVA.
10. FINANCING
The payment of the Post-doctoral grant will begin after the signature of the contract. The funds are those allocated to Human Resources of the Erasmus+ Project, European Union Programme, CIRC.LE – CIRCular & Socio-Civic Learning Hub.
11. COMPONENTS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded as a monthly subsidy under the terms of Regulation No. 234/2012 of the Foundation for Science and Technology in the amount of €1686.00.
If the scholarship holder is not covered by any social protection regime, he can join the voluntary social insurance regime, under the terms of the Code of Contributory Regimes of the Social Security System. This value will be secured by the funds are those allocated to Human Resources of the Erasmus+ Project, European Union Program, CIRC.LE – CIRCular & Socio-Civic Learning Hub.
12. PAYMENTS OF THE EXCHANGE COMPONENTS
Payments due to the scholarship holder are made by bank transfer to the account indicated by the grant holder. Payment of the monthly maintenance allowance is made on the first working day of each month.
13. INFORMATION AND PUBLICITY OF FINANCING GRANTED
In all R&D activities directly or indirectly financed by the CIRC.LE’s grant, namely, in all communications, publications and scientific actions carried out within the scope of the grant-funding project, mention must be made of financial support from the project and from the national and international entities that support the grant.
