OFFER DESCRIPTION
We are looking for two highly motivated and talented Ph.D. students willing to join the international team undertaking National Science Center's "Sonata Bis" research project entitled Employing multiphoton quantum interference for selected quantum information processing tasks. The international project aims at research in the field of theoretical quantum optics. The research will be carried out in international collaboration, including the European Space Agency and the Imperial College London, and will involve stays/internships at these institutions. Promising candidates will be asked to send their documents to the recruitment organized jointly with the Doctoral School (to be announced later).

Skills/Qualifications
- Completed master studies in physics, mathematics or computer science, preferably with specialization in quantum technologies
- Ambitious hard-working with high motivation for scientific work and strong will for self-development
- Numerical programming practice, basic knowledge of mathematical tools (e.g. Matlab or Wolfram Mathematica) and general computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Skype)
- Practical knowledge of English (B level or above)
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Mobility (ability to travel within the EU and worldwide)
Specific Requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Performing theoretical research under supervision of the principal investigator
- Developing numerical software and performing computations
- Studying literature on a regular basis
- Managing research notes, preparation of publications and conference posters
- Participation in junior conferences and schools
- Preparation of a Ph. D. thesis
- Reporting
