THE HISTORY AND TRANSMISSION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE

The PhD History and Transmission of Cultural Heritage aims to provide students with methodological research skills required for the study and investigation of general humanities disciplines which include the area of cultural mediation. The training and mentoring of future academics will also be combined with the preparation of a professional figure whose future activities will involve cultural dissemination and enhancement of material and immaterial cultural heritage. In this perspective, the PhD students will take part in advanced disciplinary formative activities, seminars, conferences, and laboratory research in order to develop organic, methodological, theoretical and historiographic expertise concerning the main human sciences research strands. The teaching activities will also be aimed at achieving an adequate understanding of the various forms of humanistic knowledge dissemination and scientific communication with the employment of different types of language.
