Offer Description
Call is open for the award of 1 (one) Research Fellowship (BI) at UNINOVA - Institute for the Development of New Technologies within the scope of the SUB-GRANT AGREEMENT CONTRACT DIH4AI OC1 008- GrAIpe - Sub-Project AI-based Diseases Detection and Precision Spraying in Portuguese Vineyards, for the development of R&D activities to be carried out by doctoral students or by graduates and masters enrolled in courses not leading to an academic degree, under the following conditions:
Recipient admission requirements /Profile:
- Be enrolled in a PhD or be a graduate and master enrolled in a non-academic degree course.
- Not exceed, with the conclusion of the scholarship contract in question, including possible renewals, a cumulative period of 4 (four) years if you are enrolled in a Doctorate and 1 (one) year if you are a master enrolled in a non-academic degree for this type of scholarship.
- Knowledge in:
- Leadership of work packages in research projects
- Production scheduling and planning
- Design and development of systems according to RAMI4.0 reference architecture
- Integration and interoperability of systems for sustainable manufacturing
- Immediate avilability.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken (Mandatory).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates who have obtained the degree abroad must have the degree recognized in Portugal, pursuant to Decree-Law No. 66/2018 of August 16th.
Work plan: The candidate will develop research work performing the following tasks with the following objectives:
- Participate in project meetings
- Write deliverables
- Definition of requirements and case study
- Monitoring and management of technical developments and project
Applicable legislation and regulations: Statute of the Scientific Research Grantee, approved by Law No. 40/2004 of August 18, amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 202/2012, of August 27 and amended by Decree-Law No. 233/2012 of 29 October, Law No. 12/2013 of January 29 and Decree-Law No. 123/2019 of August 28.
It is subsidiarily applicable the Regulation of UNINOVA Research Grants, approved by deliberation of the Board of Directors of the FCT-Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, in the meeting of March 2 of 2022.

Additional Information
Monthly maintenance allowance amount: The amount of the scholarship corresponds to a minimum value of € 1 144.64.
The grantee also benefits from personal accident insurance during the period of granting the scholarship and may be reimbursed for voluntary social insurance equivalent to the 1st tier.
The scholarship will be paid monthly on the last business day of each month by bank transfer.
Selection methods: The selection methods to use will be as follows:
- Curriculum Vitae [50%];
- Level of knowledge according to what is described in c) section “Recipient admission requirements /Profile” [50%].
- If the jury seems it necessary, an interview will take place only with the selected candidates, with each of the previous items valid [40%] and the interview [20%]

Form of advertising/notification of results: Both admitted and excluded candidates list with the final classification shall be published on the UNINOVA website (https://www.uninova.pt/) and all candidates will be notified by email.
Preliminary Hearing and Deadline for Decision: After communicating the provisional list of the results of the evaluation, candidates have a period of 10 working days to express their opinion at a prior hearing of interested parties, pursuant to Articles 121 and following of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
The final decision will be rendered after the analysis of the statements presented during the preliminary hearing of interested parties. A complaint may be filed against the final decision within 15 working days, or, alternatively, an appeal may be filed within 30 working days, both counting from the respective notification.

Workplace: Thework will be carried out at UNINOVA's facilities, in other facilities located at the FCT/NOVA Campus and/or in other facilities that may be necessary for its execution, under the scientific guidance of Professor Doutor José Barata. UNINOVA will be the contracting entity.
