RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing is aim to study quantum information theory, develop techniques for quantum control and measurement, build quantum computing hardware and software, and explore novel quantum technologies. We will promote the progress of quantum information science and contribute to society through the application of quantum technologies.
In this research unit, we experimentally investigate non-equilibrium dynamics of quantum many-body systems using ultracold atomic gases in an optical lattice. Using a quantum gas in optical lattices, we study real-time and real-space dynamics, and also aim to control the many-body dynamics. We have been developing a quantum simulator with a single-atom control in optical lattices.
