We use Artificial intelligence (AI) to absorb complexity & lower the cost.

About us:

EarthPulse is a young startup which delivers indices (pulses, https://earthpulse.es/indices) based in Satellite data analysis with Artificial Intelligence for decision making for different market segments such as Financial markets.

Is in EarthPulse DNA to fuse very different backgrounds and technologies to combine any type of data and deliver directly actionable information for decision making. We count with senior experts on AI, EO, Software, and product and business development experts.

Job Description

At EarthPulse we build indices from EO data, with our proprietary AI tools. We then add third part data and turn all this data into valuable insights. The data scientist will be responsible of collecting all these external data, extracting tis value and put it together with the Outputs of the AI models, and additional EO data.

The successful candidate will work between the software developers and the Product managers. Basically, it turns raw data into valuable insights

We expect our data scientist to be able to Communicate important information and insights to business and IT leaders and make recommendations to adapt existing business strategies

A degree in statistics, math’s, business administration or computer science is a viable option. Knowledge of EO data is a very valuable asset, but not mandatory

Skills/Qualifications

Requirements

The candidate we are looking for should have the following requirements:

  • Fluent in Python and its data science ecosystem (Numpy, Pandas, Jupiter Notebook, …)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with data bases (firestore, mongodb)
  • Experience with satellite imagery and EO python packages (gdal, rasterio, xarray, …)
  • Highly self-motivated, keen learner able to solve challenging problems with creative solutions
  • Organizational skills
  • PdH or 4 years of experience in Research areas
  • Ability to deliver on a fast-paced environment, highly independent, constantly learn and share new knowledge with the team.

Specific Requirements

This vacancy is a Tecnio spring (2 years contract) award from ACCIO.

Eligible projects will be linked to two types of mobility: (1) Mobility A: Outgoing and return

One year abroad spent by the researcher at a host entity (university, research center, technology center, or R+D department of a company) to develop an applied research project aimed to technology transfer.

One other year in Spain spent at the beneficiary entity to complete the project started at the abroad host entity.

The abroad host entity and the aid beneficiary cannot be associated with one another.

(2) Mobility B: Incorporation to a company or a TECNIO accredited entity or a technology center

Two years spent by the researcher in a company with its operational establishment in Catalonia or a TECNIO accredited entity or a technology centre located in Catalonia, to develop an applied research project oriented towards technology transfer.

Successful candidates, in each modality could spend some stages at European Space Agency or research centers to be decided.
