What iMM seeks: At this moment iMM is looking for a Maintenance and laboratory equipment Management Technician to join the department Safety and Compliance, under the Associate Laboratory statute within funding reference LA/P/0082/2020 supported by National Funds (FCT – OE), to execute the following activities under the supervision of Sara Santos:
- Management of maintenance contracts;
- Management of preventive and corrective maintenance;
- Carrying out validations and calibrations;
- Management of common equipment;
- Acquisition of new equipment;
- Training of new users of common equipment;
- Elaboration of operational procedures and forms.

Profile of Candidate
- Technical or higher education degree in the area of Biomedical sciences, life sciences or similar;
- Previous experience in similar functions (preferred);
- High sense of responsibility;
- Proactivity;
- Domain of the English language: written and spoken;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Good communication and interpersonal relationship;
- Good organizational skills, versatility and accuracy;
- Good computer knowledge from the user's point of view.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event the higher education degree was awarded by a foreigner higher institution, the degree must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law nr 66/2018, 18th August, and all formalities established there must be fulfilled by applications deadline.
Additional Information
What iMM offers: iMM will offer outstanding working conditions in this area in Portugal, including a full-time contract, starting predictably in March 2023, and the possibility to work in the interface of research and research support facilities.
Working Conditions: Fixed-term employment contract; - Gross monthly salary of 1.100,00€, in accordance with the project budget and iMM Career By-Law. The indicated amount will be subject to the mandatory taxes accordingly to Portuguese Labor Law.

Evaluation Criteria: Applications will be evaluated by Cláudia Costa, Francisca Lemos and Sara Santos, in accordance with the following method:
- 1st Phase: Curricular Evaluation: 40% and Motivation Letter: 10%;
- 2nd Phase: Interview: 50%. Only selected candidates who score a classification higher or equal to 35% in phase 1 will be interviewed.
Results: Both admitted and excluded candidates list and final classification list shall be posted at iMM website at https://imm.medicina.ulisboa.pt/jobs/#results and all admitted candidates will be notified by email.
Preliminary Hearing and Final Decision Deadline: After notification, all candidates have 10 working days to respond. Panel’s final decisions are pronounced within a period of 90 days, from application deadline.
The present call is exclusively aimed at filling the indicated vacancy and may be terminated until the homologation of the final candidates' ranking list and expires with the respective occupation of the position on offer.
