Applicants for the position mentioned above must meet the conditions set out in art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science as well as the Statute of WULS-SGGW (attachment 1, 6) and Resolution No. 51 - 2017/2018 of the WULS-SGGW Senate of May 28, 2018 regarding amendments to the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

Selection process


The applicants must submit all necessary documents in the period from 24.05.2021 to 07.06.2021 till 2:00 PM (the date of receipt is decisive) to the secretariat of the Department– address: 159 Nowoursynowska St., room No 2/14B, 02-776 Warsaw

The applicants should submit:

  • An application for employment to Rector of Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW;
  • Curriculum Vitae with achievements in the field of research and teaching;
  • Personal questionnaire form;
  • Copy of diploma to obtain a doctoral degree;
  • Publication list (papers published and accepted for print - editorial certificate required);
  • Statement that meet the requirements under Article. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws 2018. pos. 1668).

After the employment competition is resolved, a relevant certificate from the occupational medicine will be required (prints are issued by the WULS-SGGW Personal Affairs Office).

Specific Requirements

The applicants (he, she) should meet following requirements:

  • the degree of Ph.D. in field of forestry, discipline of forestry sciences,
  • scientific interests and ability to develop them,
  • ability to lead classes in Polish,
  • has at least good knowledge of English, i.e to the extent allowing independent writing of scientific publications and to present reports at scientific conferences,
  • the candidate should have experience in working with analytical equipment in the field of chromatography (HPLC, GC-MS, Py-GCMS, SEC and ISEC),
  • the candidate should have experience in conducting researches on biofuel production (mainly bioethanol), including especially pre-treatment and enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic materials,
  • the candidate during the last 6 years should be a co-author of at least 8 scientific articles from JCR list,
  • the applicant should have a minimum of 2 weeks of scientific internship,
  • experience with grants in collaboration with industry will be welcomed confirm by contracts.
