OFFER DESCRIPTION
New aircraft engine installations are identified as alternatives for future aircraft propulsion. One of them is the half-buried installation at the rear fuselage, known as BLI (Boundary-Layer Ingestion) configuration. In such a case, the fan operates in a significantly distorted flow, which induces additional sources or modifies intrinsic sources also present without the distortion. Within the scope of the Project ARTEM, Ecole Centrale de Lyon (ECL) offers a 6-months post-doc position, to finalize the implementation of a complete analytical model dedicated to this. Two aspects are addressed, namely the noise emitted by the rotor crossing the distortion profile, and the modification of the noise emitted by the outlet guide vanes because of the impinging rotor wakes.
