OFFER DESCRIPTION

A fellowship position is available for a period of 3 years, tenable

at Oxford University, on a project entitled PERovskite SEmiconductors

for PHOtoNics (PERSEPHONE). If applicable, the successful candidate will

be registered for PhD training while engaged by the University on a

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network, and will be expected

to defend a DPhil Thesis at the end of the fellowship. Candidates who

are already enrolled in a PhD programme elsewhere, but complying with

the eligibility criteria below, will also be considered for the post.

The Oxford based early years researcher will develop easily scalable

solution-processed perovskite deposition methods based on clean solvent

systems for efficient LEDs. Candidates must possess a good degree in a

subject including physics, materials science, chemistry, mathematics or

engineering and should ideally have experience with metal halide

Perovskite semiconductors.

 

 

 

The EC funding for this position provides for a remuneration

starting from £ 38,177.78. Actual salary will depend on employer

deductions, personal circumstances and the exchange rate applicable to

the fellowship. This amount includes an annual living allowance and a

mobility allowance (to cover the expenses associated with working in a

different country).

 

 

 

Under the terms of the EC funding, which aims to promote mobility

within the research community, to be eligible for the post you must not

have been resident in the UK for more than a total of 12 months in the

past three years. at the time of the fellowship start date, **must

not **already be in possession of a PhD or have more than 4 years of

full-time equivalent research experience as measured from the award date

of their Master’s degree. The start date is subject to discussion;

The latest possible date is 1st October 2021.
