-
Life Sciences / Bio-Medical Sciences
-
Engineering, ICT & Build Environment
-
Natural Sciences
-
Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences
Recognised Experts
The evaluators should have a demonstrated track record of academic achievements and experience in evaluations of e.g. EU funded projects (Horizon 2020). The track record involves a significant publication record (books, monographs, peer review journal articles etc) and demonstrated experience with attracting competitive funding and grant evaluations.
To this end, it is a requirement for the evaluators to submit their ORCID-ID or PUBLONS-ID as part of the application in order for the University of Malta to be able to assess the validity of information on funding, peer or grant-review, publications/works etc.
Services required
Services will be provided remotely and will involve evaluation of the applications received, following the University of Malta’s evaluation criteria, submission of the evaluation report, and possible participation in consensus meetings. Once selected, all evaluators will be required to sign a confidentiality and conflict of interest declaration, and a contract with the University of Malta for the services provided, before being accepted to evaluate any specific application. The University of Malta aims to have a diverse and balanced pool of experts. Typically, the annual internal call for research excellence proposals attracts between 50 and 100 proposals across the four categories.
Remuneration
Evaluators will be reimbursed for their time and effort on the basis of the number of proposals evaluated, with each proposal corresponding to a value of €40 excluding VAT, assuming it takes approximately 1 hour to evaluate each proposal.
If you want to become a member of our PoEE, please complete the application form available via the following link.
