OFFER DESCRIPTION

Within the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), B-Liver (https://b-liver.org/) is a strategic consortium that integrates the valorisation of liver cell biology, pathology and toxicology research.

As the new Business Development Manager, you will fill an exciting and diverse position and be responsible for the initiation, development, and/or management of:

• New business, including identifying potential stakeholders and developing the valorisation roadmap for emerging technologies

• Network awareness and connections though representation at industry and biotech focused events, networking, conferences or through direct contact.

• The external visibility of the consortium, including via the website

• R&D projects, collaborative and fee-for-service, managing negotiations, timelines, deliverables and reporting

• Industrial and EU Grants

• Contracts and related negotiation and administration

• IPR, including patents and seeking licensing partners

 

Profile

• You have experience in technology transfer or business development

• You hold a PhD in biomedical, pharmaceutical or life science field, ideally with experience in liver toxicology and/or cell biology

• You are a problem solver with a can-do mentality, able to work independently or in a team

• You are well organised and very detail oriented

• You have excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral

• You are proficient in English, both written and spoken. A good knowledge of Dutch is a plus
