OFFER DESCRIPTION
The Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is funded by the Norwegian Research Council and is associated with “Unashamed Citizenship. Minority Literary Voices in Contemporary Scandinavia”, project no. 315360. The candidate is expected to present a research project closely connected to the main project.
The successful applicant is to develop a project, analyzing feminist, antiracist literary activism by Scandinavian writers in an international context, focusing on transnational activism and historical and/or contemporary sources of inspiration. Methodologically, such perspectives can derive from a comparative approach, comparing Scandinavian literary activism to that of other nations and/or regions. It can also derive from a World Literature approach involving, among other things, analysis of translational practices.
The proposed project should analyze texts by authors of immigrant and/or indigenous backgrounds. Generically, literary activism can include fiction, non-fictional autobiographical genres, as well as dramatic, epic, lyrical, or multimodal forms.
