Skills/Qualifications

The Candidate is required to have specialized education, covering the knowledge, skills and competences resulting from the completion of master's studies in the field of Electrical Engineering, majoring in Electrical Power Engineering, in particular in the field of analysis of phenomena occurring in power systems and devices with the use of computer programs ATP-EMTP, MATLAB and COMSOL; knowledge and professional experience obtained in the field or environment of the professional power industry, confirmed by at least 5 years of employment in a position consistent with the education; theoretical and practical knowledge of the issues of control and supervision systems, protection automatics and communication systems of power stations. Expected are: scientific interests and predispositions to conduct research, including experimental research in the field of technology and high-voltage diagnostics of electrical equipment insulation systems as well as numerical analyzes and simulations with the use of computer programs. Personal qualities necessary for effective and conflict-free work in a research team and didactic classes with students are required. The Candidate must have a master's degree in engineering and be a participant in doctoral studies and have a doctoral dissertation initiated or be a doctoral student at a doctoral school after a positive mid-term evaluation, with completed modules preparing for work as an academic teacher (provided for in the doctoral school education program), or has initiated the PhD procedure. Documented knowledge of English at a level no lower than B2 is necessary.
