OFFER DESCRIPTION

The academic environment for Slavic and Eastern European studies has a leading position in its field and is a strong and dynamic environment that attracts prominent researchers and research fellows. The academic community's researchers have carried out several research projects in Russian politics and society funded by the Research Council of Norway, and established a Centre for Slavic and Eastern European Studies at the Department of Literature, Area Studies and European Languages.

The person appointed must be able to teach modern Russian society and politics (domestic and foreign) as well as Russian history. It may also be relevant to teach society, politics, and history in other post-Soviet states, in connection with the establishment of a new one-year study programme at the department. The teaching will be at BA and MA levels. The successful candidate will also supervise PhD fellows.
