OFFER DESCRIPTION
The Synthetic Biology group at the D-BSSE department of ETH Zurich in Basel is active in the fields of biomolecular computing and mammalian synthetic biology, developing enabling technologies and applying them to unmet needs in medicine. We currently welcome applications for a position of Translational Scientist to advance our agenda in this field and bring basic findings and enabling technologies from bench to bedside.
Duties and responsibilities in this position include the following:
- Support lab members in the design and execution of animal experiments
- Serve as study director on experimental licenses
- Perform key procedures in laboratory animals (mice)
- Train lab members in procedures and best practices of animal experimentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Master, PhD or MD degree
- LTK2 certification or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in mouse disease models
- Advanced animal handling skills, including experience in microsurgeries and tail vein injection
- Participation in translational projects in gene and cell therapy fields
