The Dean of the Faculty Social Sciences of the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces a competition for the position of:

Assistant Professor 

in the Department of Management at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Warsaw

as part of the research and teaching staff

specialisation: organisational behaviour, organisational psychology, social aspects of management, psychology of leadership

Teaching hours: 240 hours

Job responsibilities:

  • Research tasks: conducting research, managing research projects, acquiring funds for research, publishing research results in scholarly journals and monographs, improving the research workshop;
  • Teaching tasks: conducting classes in Polish and English, cooperation with foreign centres, improving teaching competences;
  • Organisational tasks: participating in organising the teaching process, initiating and developing cooperation with external entities;

Selection process

List of competition documents:

  • CV with a list of scientific, didactic and organisational achievements (with direct reference to the above-mentioned qualification criteria), as well as containing a description of other professional experiences and interests
  • A copy of the PhD diploma

Formal criteria:

  • scientific achievements - 40% of the grade
  • didactic achievements - 30% of the grade
  • organisational and practical achievements - 30% of the grade


Please submit all required documents by 15 May, 2021.

The winner of the competition will be announced no later than 30 June 2021.

The selected candidate will start work on 1 October 2021.

Offer Requirements



  • PhD in the field of social sciences in management and quality sciences or a related discipline (in the case of a related discipline, the candidate should have academic achievements in the discipline of management and quality sciences)
  • Teaching experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Business experience (a plus)
  • Research interests in organisational behaviour, organisational psychology, social aspects of management, and psychology of leadership
  • Experience in research organisation
  • Organisational experience in supporting a research or teaching unit
  • Willingness to conduct classes also on weekends
  • Fluent knowledge of Polish and English to be able to conduct classes and write publications in these languages
  • Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn new applications
  • Declaration of employment at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities as the primary workplace
