OFFER DESCRIPTION

On 13th December 2019, the European Commission awarded the contract for the execution of the European Reference Network (ERN) project: Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) and other Clinical Decision Support Tools (CDSTs) - SANTE/2018/B3/030. Aragon Health Sciences Institute (IACS) takes part in this project. This project aims to support European Reference Networks (ERNs) in the process of development, evaluation and implementation of Clinical Practice Guidelines and Clinical Decision Support Tools for rare diseases.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting ERNs in the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines and Clinical Decision Support Tools or in the field of rare diseases.

For the execution of the aforementioned project, the Executive-Director of the IACS has decided to offer ONE POSITION OF EVIDENCE-BASED DECISION MAKING ANALYST at the Knowledge Transfer Area, Evidence-Based Decisions Unit.

The contract will be full-time, being for work or service, its duration will be linked to the funding of the ERN Guidelines project (No. SANTE/2018/B3/030): European Reference Network (ERN): Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) and Clinical Decision Support Tools (CDSTs). The work will be conducted entirely in English

The work could be carried out in teleworking mode.

 

Eligibility criteria

Assessment of the following evaluable criteria based on the merits claimed, according to the following:

 

a. Assessment of training and knowledge applicable to the position (0 to 15 points)

  • Training in Evidence-Based Medicine (0 to 10 points)
  • Training in Epidemiology, Public Health or Research Methodology (0 to 5 points)

Training will be assessed on the basis of criteria to be established in advance by the Selection Committee, such as length, content, knowledge acquired and other similar criteria to be determined by the Committee.

 

b. Professional experience: Aimed at determining to what extent the candidate has carried out work related to the position (0 to 35 points).

  • Experience in Health Technology Assessment (evaluation methodology, economic evaluation, patient involvement, etc.). (0 to 10 points)
  • Experience in coordinating or participating in the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines (methodology, economic evaluation, patient involvement, etc.). (0 to 15 points)
  • Experience in participation or management of national or international projects. (0 to 10 points)

Experience will be assessed on the basis of criteria to be established in advance by the Selection Committee, such as the functions carried out, time spent working on a similar position, performance and other criteria to be determined by the Committee.

 

c. Training and skills for the position (0 to 35 points)

 

Level of English C2, native level or equivalent (long stays in English-speaking countries or work carried out entirely in English). Daily work will be conducted in English. (0 to 35 points)

The assessment of training and skills will be based on criteria that will be previously established by the Selection Committee, such as training, tasks or stays abroad and other similar criteria determined by the Committee.

In order to assess the candidate's personal skills, motivation and contribution to the project, reasoning capacity and ability to explain and solve problems related to the position, a personal interview will be carried out by the Selection Committee. The interview will be conducted partly in English and Spanish in order to confirm the assessment made in the previous phase (0 to 15 points).

 

In any case, a minimum score of 55 must be reached in the previous phases to be eligible for the position.

Job pool

This call for applications will also be used to create a job pool for the recruitment of successive temporary vacancies that arise in the position advertised. The job pool will be made up of applicants who have not been selected for this position and who have reached the threshold established in this call and those who give their authorisation in Annex I. Candidates will be ranked according to the overall score obtained in all phases of the selection process. In the event of a tie in the score obtained by different candidates, the criterion of the highest score obtained in phase 2 will be taken into account, and in the event of a tie, the highest score obtained in the interview phase will be considered. The scores will be accessible for consultation on the IACS website.
