Candidates for the position of an adjunct shall have scientific output documented with an application for the post-doctoral degree of doctor habilitated, or scientific output fulfilling to a significant extent the requirements for candidates applying for the post-doctoral degree of doctor habilitated as well as qualifications necessary to carry out research conducted in the Scientific Divisions. Candidates shall be required to demonstrate research results in the form of articles published in high-quality academic journals indexed in the JCR and at seminars and international and national conferences, as well as apply for research funding.

Selection process

. Conclusion of the competition

  • Interviews with candidates shall take place on May 26 and 27, 2021 via ZOOM platform.Candidates qualified for interviews shall be notified by e-mail about the exact date of the Interview by May 25, 2021. During the interview a candidate shall be required to give a presentation lasting 10 minutes at maximum.
  • The competition shall be concluded by June 7, 2021.
  • Each candidate shall be notified by e-mail about the results of the competition.
  • The final decision on employing a given candidate shall be taken by IFJ PAN Director.

I. General information

Detailed rules of the competition are specified in the Terms and Conditions of Recruitment of Adjuncts and Research Assistants adopted by the IFJ PAN Scientific Council on April 12, 2021 and accessible at:


Candidates applying for the employment in a given IFJ PAN Department are obliged to deliver a seminar, and for this purpose they should contact the Head of a selected Department.After the seminar, the Head of the Department submits a request for employing the candidate, accompanied with a justification, to IFJ PAN Director via the Selection Committee.

  • A doctoral degree in physical sciences or related sciences
