OFFER DESCRIPTION
The two professorships to be filled are directly related to the establishment of the new Embedded Systems course at DHBW. This new type of study program was designed and successfully accredited in close cooperation with relevant industrial companies. At the DHBW Ravensburg Campus Friedrichshafen, the two fields of study aerospace engineering and automotive engineering are offered as part of the "Embedded Systems" course. It is expected that the job holders will further develop the subject of "Embedded Systems" in complex and safety-critical aerospace or automotive applications from the point of view of electrical engineering or computer science and thereby work closely with the research and innovations carried out at the DHBW - and transfer activities (e.g. in the center for digitization in mobile systems) work together. If suitable, it is possible to take on a course director. Both professorships include basic courses, e.g. B. electrical engineering, information technology or computer science, as well as in-depth courses in the areas of aerospace or automotive engineering. In addition, the willingness to actively participate in the self-administration of the university as well as an engagement in cooperative research is required.

Skills/Qualifications
For both professorships in accordance with Section 47 LHG, a completed relevant university degree in engineering, computer science or related courses of study, special ability for independent scientific work (usually a doctorate), pedagogical aptitude and at least five years of practical work experience, of which at least three are required Years outside the university sector. For the professorship in electrical engineering, industrial experience is required, preferably in the areas of model-based creation of hardware and software architectures and the implementation of embedded systems. For the professorship in computer science, industrial experience in the development of embedded software is required. Applicants for the two positions must also be willing to participate in the further scientific development of the DHBW Ravensburg, in particular through research and further scientific training. A particular level of commitment, willingness to cooperate with the companies and social institutions involved and willingness to work on committees are expected.
