The candidate should be the graduate from the PhD studies in electronics, telecommunications, or computer science. He/She is expected to have a proficient command of English language, a passion to the science work and strong motivation for the personal scientific progress. The candidates should specialize in multimedia technologies, especially video compression. A practical experience in design of integrated circuits is required. The programming skills and command of Python, C/C++, VHDL/Verilog languages are also demanded.
Main activities of the employee will be:
- teaching students in multimedia technologies;
- care over bachelor/master theses in topics related to multimedia technologies and hardware design
- conducting research in areas of neural networks, hardware-oriented multimedia algorithms and efficient design of integrated circuits, including simulations, programming, verification, optimization, and analysis.
Practical skills in VHDL programming, HDL simulations, and hardware optimizations are required, as well as knowledge of design methodology of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and theory of video compression. Also practical skills in Phyton programming are required. The knowledge in video analysis techniques are welcome. Applying person should demonstrate his experience in aforementioned domains. Ph.D. degree in electronics, telecommunications, or computer science is required. Very good command of English is essential.
