Elaboration de bloc mixte analogique-digital pour l’évaluation des technologies haute densité dans les réseaux de neurones, application à la détection de particules
The purpose of this PHD is to develop and evaluate the different elements constituting a analog impulse neurons network on chip, then to exploit the opportunities of recent advanced technologies (28 nm) to integrate these blocks in the design of a chip with a high neuron density and a large bandwidth.Ultimately, the use of these systems should make it possible to reduce the amount of data produced by pixel detectors used in high-energy physics. This involves calculating directly on the sensor the position of the interaction with one or more particles while eliminating erroneous or irrelevant data. The complete data is then no longer transmitted. As these pixel arrays are integrated on silicon, both the neural network and the sensor can be carried out on the same chip. This approach will allow a direct processing of the measurements and to drastically reduce the amount of data to be transmitted and processed.
