OFFER DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited to apply for a short (up to 9 months) postdoctoral position to work at the University of Split School of Medicine, in beautiful town of Split in Croatia. The position will be funded through Croatia Science Foundation (HRZZ) Grant “The role of Spartan (SPRTN) in DNA replication”. The candidates will have the opportunity to work in the international team of experts in the field of DNA damage response and repair.

The salary is approximately 1600 Euro (gross), or 1150 (net) Euro.

Eligibility criteria

Preference will be given to candidates with advanced knowledge in molecular biology and biochemistry laboratory techniques. Experience in DNA damage response, cell signalling and protein biology work would be an advantage.

Skills/Qualifications

 Applicants should have a PhD in biology, biochemistry, biomedicine or similar. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in molecular biology and biochemistry laboratory techniques. Experience in DNA damage response, cell signalling and protein biology work would be an advantage.

Applicants should have the ability to independently approach the project, to be able to participate in scientific writing as well as to be highly motivated to work in an international team. Applicants should be fluent in English. 

 

Specific Requirements

Salary of the postdoctoral position is equivalent to the postdoctoral salary provided by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia.

Expected start of the project is June 1st 2021., for the duration of 6 to 9 months.

Two reference letters (or contact info from two supervisors or collaborators who can provide a reference for the applicant) would be an advantage. Other related documents (egz. Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications and additional documents, if necessary) can be requested later.
