THE VICE-RECTOR IN CHARGE OF THE SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES OF ADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY IN POZNAŃ ANNOUNCES COMPETITION
for the position of assistant professor in the Faculty of Art Studies

4. Expected duration of post: from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2023
I. Terms of the competition outlined by appointment committee:
The competition may be entered by persons who meet the requirements set out in the Act: Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce from 20 July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2021 poz. 478) and meet the following qualification criteria:
1. Doctoral degree in the field of art history, art studies or archeology or their foreign equivalents, obtained no later than in 2015.
2. A master's degree in both art history and archeology will be considered an advantage.
3. Research specialization in the history of art and culture of the ancient Mediterranean, with a special focus on Greek art and culture.
4. Research development confirmed by publications in the field of the history of ancient art or classical archeology in the form of reviewed monographs, chapters in monographs, and articles in national and international journals.
5. Activity in the field of domestic and international research, within which field the following will be particularly taken into account:
a. participation at national and international scientific conferences, at which the results of the candidates’ work are presented,
b. international and national scholarships awarded, research internships and visits,
c. participation in research programs organized by national and international bodies.
6. Teaching experience both in class and the field.
7. Experience in archaeological excavation will be considered an advantage.
8. Knowledge of Polish language sufficient for teaching at university level.
9. Fluency in at least one foreign congress language.
