OFFER DESCRIPTION
Is the «Physial activity / Sedenatry» profile a keyactor for the control ofappetite and energy metabolism depending on weigth status.
According to Taylor’s Theory, the highestis someone’s Physical Activity Level(PAL), the better her/hisappetite control; while a low physical activity level will favor an deregulated control of her/his energy intake. It seems today necessary to better understand this relationship between PAL and the control of energy intake in humans, considering the potential crucial and independent role of sedentary behaviors (SED). In other words, might a high level of SED favored an impaired energy intake regulation despite a high level of PA, and inversely?Although from both a primary and secondary prevention point of view, it appears necessary to question the role played by this PA/SED profile; the implication of weight status and more particularly of the degree of adiposity must be considered(body composition partitionning). The main aim of the present project is to evaluate the role of the PA/SED profilein the control of energy intake and of its physiological and neuro-cognitive pathways, considering the whole weight status spectrum. This project rests on the last work-package of an IUF program (2017-2022) and is also supported by the regional «Pack Ambition Recherche Internationale AURA 2020».Blundell et al.(2020).
