OFFER DESCRIPTION

As part of the survey carried out by the PRIN 2017 research group (Principles and vitality of Roman criminal law) in order to investigate the characteristics of Roman criminal law and criminal trial in their widest sense, to verify whether the Roman jurists have developed institutions and principles valid for both crimina and delicta, the candidate will have to deepen the aspect of the punishment of the crime committed and attempted in the context of criminal trial of the republican and imperial era. In the light of a systematic and accurate exegetical study of the sources, the research fellow will study the subject both in terms of general theory of crime, as well as of individual offenses, as well as of process of quaestiones perpetuae and of cognitio extra ordinem.
