The INRAE laboratory Agroecology based in Dijon, France, is aiming toward a better understanding of biotic interactions (in particular between plants and microorganisms in soils) in order to conceive innovating agricultural systems that are more environmental-friendly. A part of our research is focusing on bacterial and fungal communities in the rhizosphere. In relation to these research questions, we are looking for a post-doc fellow in the EMFEED team. The job consists in participating to the set up, realisation, follow up and analysis of a greenhouse experiment on plant and rhizosphere microbiota selection. The goal is to artificially select over several generations the best combinations of plants and microbiota for given plant properties of interest. The work will be mainly located in our 4PMI greenhouse facility (For Plant-Microbe Interaction, https://www6.dijon.inrae.fr/plateforme4pmi).
A PhD degree is required for this job, either on plant-microbe interactions, plant sciences or microbial ecology. Knowledge on plant biology and skills on plant experimentations are required. Supporting skills in molecular biology, microbioloy, bioinformatic and statistics are appreciated. Both autonomous work and team work skills are mandatory. A good mastering of English (spoken and written) is required.
The position is established for one year, with possibility for an extension.
