OFFER DESCRIPTION
The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences offers a 6-month Postdoc position in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a possibility for extension in the next two years. Starting date is July 1, 2021. Working language is English or Bulgarian.
This is a 2-year position pending research merit evaluations. The candidate will spend 2 semesters in the International Center for Mathematical Sciences – Sofia (ICMS-Sofia), https://icms.bg/ which is affiliated with the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and 2 semesters in the Institute of the Mathematical Sciences of the Americas at the University of Miami (IMSA), https://www.imsa.miami.edu/.
The candidate needs to be an expert on Hodge theory. He/ she will work on the interchange of Hodge theory and Homological Mirror Symmetry (Quantum Spectrum). His/ her work at the International Center for Mathematical Sciences – Sofia will be supervised by Prof. Ludmil Katzarkov.
