OFFER DESCRIPTION
This research will be focused on the activities aimed at a functional calibration and the use of data of a millimetric camera to be working at the focus of the Sardinia Radio Telescope. These activities will include the estimation of its sensitivity, the systematics control, and the analysis of the scientific data. We will ask the candidate to have experience or to be a fast learner on how to use a millimetric camera at frequencies in the range 75-115GHz, to be used at the focus of 50-100m class telescope. We will stress the importance of the instrumental and astronomical calibrations including the systematic effects as well as the scientific data interpretation.
