Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science at University of Tsukuba invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at assistant professor in Learning Data Analytics (Learning Information Resources). The Faculty seeks applicants, who are capable of conducting international and interdisciplinary research and education of Learning Data Analytics (Learning Information Resources). “Learning Information Resources" aims at model constructions in information resource management and effective use of the developed information resources (school libraries, public libraries, online content, etc.) in learning. Specifically, any of the following expertise in the fields is required: the maintenance and effective use of school libraries, learning support, and learning analytics, etc.

* Research work in Learning Data Analytics (Learning Information Resources)
* Teaching undergraduate courses at the College of Knowledge and Library Sciences, School of Informatics; Teaching and School Libraries, School Library and Education, related seminar courses, etc. and supervision of undergraduate students.
* Teaching graduate courses at the Master's Program in Informatics of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences; Media Education, Special Seminar in Informatics, related seminar courses, etc. and supervision of graduate students.
* Administrative duties (e.g. committees, publicity, etc.).
Applicants are required to teach classes in both Japanese and English.

About Tenure track position
* It is possible to extend the tenure track period for up to 3 years to those who have taken childcare or nursing care leave.
* The interim assessment will be made two years before the tenure track period expires.
* The tenure examination will be conducted six months before the tenure track period expires, and comprehensively taking into consideration the educational achievement in addition to the research achievement.
