OFFER DESCRIPTION

 

We look for a candidate to do research concerning security and efficiency aspects of blockchain networks. The project will be mainly focused on the Bitcoin network protocol and its implementation. In particular, the candidate will have to investigate issues of the Bitcoin network structure and topology, as well as its data propagation protocol.

 

The candidate should have a Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and is required to have previous research experience. Other requirements include:

  • knowledge of network systems and protocols, preferably in the peer-to-peer context;
  • knowledge of network security issues and protocol; - in-depth knowledge of the Bitcoin network protocol;
  • programming skills in the C/C++ and python languages, preferably with experience in low-level and network-protocol programming;
  • Programming experience with the Bitcoin reference client implementation is a plus.
