OFFER DESCRIPTION

PROCESS: “Engineering Solutions for the Process Industry” invites applications across several relevant research areas including process modelling and integrated process control, Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and smart data management, to promote processing agility and flexibility within an Industry 4.0 framework. Interdisciplinary proposals are encouraged.

The initiative is co-funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme (Grant agreement No. 801165) and by Enterprise Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland, through their respective research and technology centres hosted at the University of Limerick. Adhering to the Marie Curie COFUND principle of individual-driven mobility, applicants will have the freedom to choose their research topic, supervisor and secondment organisations.

The programme aims to broaden the career perspectives of researchers and increase their chances of obtaining senior research positions, especially in the non-academic sector.

The programme will fund up to 26 fellowships for experienced researchers who possess a PhD degree or who have at least four years full-time equivalent research experience in academia or industry at the call deadline, which is 14 May 2021 at 17h00 (Irish Standard Time). All submissions must be uploaded to the SULIS portal. Prospective applicants can register for a secure SULIS username and password by completing the ‘Register your Interest’ form available at www.process-cofund.eu

Researchers are welcome from any EU Member State, Associated Country, Overseas Country or Territory linked to the Member States, or a Third Country. The targeted experienced researchers must fit with the Horizon 2020 eligibility rules on mobility and country participation for Marie Curie Skłowdoska Fellowship schemes. This means that applicants must not have resided or carried out their main research activity in the Republic of Ireland for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the call deadline, which is 14 May 2021.

Researchers who wish to return or reintegrate into a longer-term research position in Europe, or researchers wishing to resume research in Europe after a career break will be eligible and welcome. Full details on eligibility requirements are now available in the Guide for Applicants at www.process-cofund.eu
