New kinds of glassceramics materials in Al2O3-RE2O3 and Al2O3-RE2O3-ZrO2 systems with interesting optical and mechanical properties
The main aim of the work will be flame synthesis, basic characterization and subsequent hot pressing of glass micro-spheres in order to prepare glass ceramic materials with good mechanical and photoluminescence properties.

Eligible scientific fields - obtained master degree or equivalent in the time of entrance examination

If accepted for PhD study student must go through:
- additional exams depending on the study field (it must be completed within 18 months from beginning of the study; at least three exams)
- dissertation theses (review of literature about the topic of the PhD, including results achieved for 18 months)
- dissertation exam in front of the commission with presentation about studied topic
- each year student will be evaluated based on credits achieved during school year and only after passing evaluation student will be allowed to start another year.
Essential part is working on experiments given, allowed and discussed by supervisor
