ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, Faculty of Urban Planning and Architecture

The candidacies  must correspond to the requirements in accordance with the Regulation regarding the occupation of didactic and scientific-didactic positions in the Public Institution "Technical University of Moldova", approved by TUM Senate, 22.06.2021, minutes no. 11, with subsequent amendments from 23.08.2022.

The candidate for the position of Associate Professor must meet the following criteria:

Key position accountabilities:

• Executes the provisions of the curriculum for the entrusted discipline and of the individual plan of scientific-didactic activities;

• Ensures the training of students in accordance with the requirements of the training standards established at TUM, assesses the students' knowledge and self-training activities;

• Applies efficient training methods and means with the use of modern technologies, ensures the continuous improvement of the training process, using scientific achievements in the pedagogical, technological, informational field;

•Develops students professional knowledge, skills in the chosen specialty field, ensures their preparation for the application of knowledge in practice;

• Participates in the elaboration of the Educational Programs, is responsible for their integral realization according to the Training Plan and of the schedules for the realization of the study process;

• Respects the rights and freedoms of students, plans and coordinates their individual work;

• Respects the training discipline, the attendance regime at classes;

• Respects the department's schedule regarding consultation hours;

• Ensures compliance with occupational safety requirements during the study process;

• Participates in the elaboration of programs for production and bachelor's thesis internships;

• Systematically increases the level of pedagogical and scientific qualification;

• Executes scientific research works, applies research results in the training process, ensures students' participation in research activities;

• Objectively assesses students' knowledge with the application of modern testing methods (written exams, grids, tests with the use of computer programs);

• Updates the study programs periodically, introducing the latest scientific achievements in the field of the discipline they teach;

• Elaborates methodical guidance in the field of the entrusted discipline, specifications, coordinates the technical-material assurance of the practical works within the discipline;

• Elaborates the methodological-didactic documentation for the disciplines entrusted to them, including the materials for the current tests, exams and the final evaluation;

• Elaborates textbooks, training courses, monographs, prepares scientific articles based on the results of research activity, participates with scientific and methodological-didactic reports at department meetings, conferences within TUM and other institutions;

• Under the guidance of the head of department, participates in the organization of scientific-practical conferences, students contests, participates in the professional orientation activities of potential candidates;

• Elaborates requests regarding the provision of the discipline with the necessary literature and submits them to the head of the department;

• Participates in the meetings of the department, in the meetings of the work team of the faculty, and in certain cases, in the meeting of the Faculty Council;

• Respects the internal Regulations of TUM, the TUM Charter, the regime of the day, the schedule of teaching activities, the work and financial discipline, the norms of ethics and academic deontology;

• Ensures the preservation of TUM's patrimony, imposes this requirement on students;

• Ensures the preservation of confidential information, does not allow the disclosure of commercial secrets, scientific-didactic know-how within TUM;

• Complies with occupational safety and health regulations, environmental protection regulations, fire requirements;

• When fulfilling the position requirements, they are guided by the legal regulations, the governmental decisions, the normative documents, the internal documents of the institution. Depending on the current activity of the institution, the associate professor must perform any other tasks assigned by the higher hierarchical heads, within the limits of their own competence.
