OFFER DESCRIPTION

The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences offers a 6-month Postdoc position in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a possibility for extension in the next two years. Starting date is July 1, 2021. Working language is English or Bulgarian.

The position is part of the 5-year project ”Categorical Kaehler Geometry and Applications” (CKGA) started in January 2020, funded by the National Science Fund of Bulgaria. Project PI is Prof. Ludmil Katzarkov.

This is a 2-year position pending research merit evaluations. The candidate will spend 2 semesters at the International Center for Mathematical Sciences – Sofia (ICMS-Sofia) and 2 semesters at the Institute of the Mathematical Sciences of the Americas at the University of Miami (IMSA).

The candidate should know solid knowledge of equivariant cohomology and K theory and Hymeric algebraic geometry. The main goal is to extend the notion of Hodge spectrum in these instances.
