Applications are invited for a postdoc position at the IMDEA Software Institute in Madrid, Spain. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Alexey Gotsman on distributed computing aspects of blockchains, including algorithms, abstractions, proofs of correctness and lower bounds. Concrete research topics will be determined based on the common interests of the candidate and the supervisor.
Who should apply?
Candidates should have, or expect shortly to obtain, a PhD in Computer Science, with expertise in distributed computing theory or distributed systems.
Working at IMDEA Software
The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.
Positions are initially for one year, with possibilities for extension. The starting date can be flexible, given the current public health situation.
