[Business description]: Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics Experiment
Okayama University has started the "Research Center Formation Program to Accelerate Okayama University Reform (RECTOR)", which invites internationally well-known active researchers to Okayama University to train young researchers and promote joint research collaborations. This job advertisement is a part of the RECTOR program "International Center for Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics Data Analysis Project" in cooperation with the overseas Principle Investigators (Prof. Guillaume Patanchon, Paris University in France, and Prof. Eiichiro Komatsu, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in German). We are looking for a promising junior researcher to develop advanced data analysis methods including evaluation and reduction of systematic errors for precise cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization observations at large angular scales. It is desirable for the candidates to have experiences and achievements in the development and characterization of millimeter-wave measurement instruments as well as in the CMB data analysis. Job Title: Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)

Salary: The salary is based on the annual salary system. The amount of salary, etc. will be determined in accordance with the Okayama University Annual Salary System Staff Salary Regulations, taking into account the individual's educational background, license / qualification, work experience, etc.
Working hours: Discretionary working system with specialized work, no overtime work principle, working on holidays (University staff employment rules Articles 41-42)
Holidays: Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, December 29 to January 3 of the following year (Article 42-2 of the University of Okayama Staff Employment Regulations)
Employment period: 5 years. The candidate will be evaluated for promotion to the tenured Assistant Professor position 6 months prior to the end of the 5-year tenure track period. Upon successful evaluation according to the promotion criteria (attached), the candidate will be appointed for an indefinite term.
Insurance: Employment insurance, work injury insurance, pension and health insurance of the National Public Service Mutual Aid Association
