Offer Description
The National Institute for Lasers, Plasma and Radiation Physics has an open position for a research assistant/scientific researcher with formation in materials science engineering, robotics engineering or physics. The employment period will be full time from April 2023 – April 2024 with possibility of prolongation. The selected candidate will work with high power laser sources, processing machines and robots in order to deposit by additive manufacturing metal matrix composite materials. The project aims to synthesize composites in situ by Laser Melting Deposition and to produce parts from such materials using generative design engineering solutions

-University diploma in Material Science, Mechanics/Robotics, Applied Physics Engineering or Physics (Preferable Specialization Optics)
-Basic skills in a graphical engineering software (Solid Works, Solid Edge, Catia, Autocad)
- The candidate must have:
- - fundamental optics notions; abilities for working with optical systems; fundamental physical metallurgy notions; fundamental notions of materials characterization:optical microscopy, SEM, XRD; abilities for oral and written communication; good skills in technical level English
