Call for Position: DTIC-PSR-2023-02 - Research Support position – Research support in motion capture and data mining to model knee joint osteoarthritis

• Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering 
• Master in biomedical research, within the area of health science.
• High levels of English, Spanish and Catalan languages are necessary in both the written and spoken forms, to ensure proper integration in both the international research community and the local healthcare system.
• Furthermore, advanced university training in machine learning and computational biomechanics are requested.

The selection of the candidates will be made through the evaluation of:

     a. the curriculum vitae that shall include a narrative biosketch with a list of the five major achievements of the candidate

     b. academic transcripts

     c. copies of the BSc and MSc theses and any further document

     d. a statement of purpose (motivation) 

     e. external reference letters

The selection committee uses several indicators to evaluate the applicant’s preparedness, motivation, and potential, based on:

1. Academic background (documents: CV; academic transcripts): 0-20 points. Full education track, including final average marks and rankings at both the BSc and the MSc levels.

2. Professional experience/Adequacy to the proposed profile (documents: CV; statement of purpose; copies of MSc and BSc final theses and of any further document): 0-60 points. 

• Research experience that shall be supported by evidence such as BSc final thesis, MSc  final thesis, previous research projects, scientific publications. 
• Previous activities in Science communication & Outreach supported by press releases, online videos, participations to events,
• Statement of purpose: experience, motivation for applying to this position, background fit, contribution of the position to the candidate’s future careers plans, …
• Any demonstrated experience, particularly if supported by evidence

3. Other merits (document: CV): 0-20 points: Recognitions and merits (individual competitive grants, awards, …). External recommendations (document: reference letters).
