The Research Institute of the University of Bucharest, University of Bucharest, in Bucharest, Romania, invites applications for a 50 % limited term Research Assistant position in Archaeology, to work within the research grant: Sine qua non: calibration of radiocarbon ages and correction of the freshwater reservoir effect in Southeastern Romania.

This is a 15 months research position that will begin in February 2021.

Skills/Qualifications

We seek a dynamic researcher who has completed the PhD and has the requisite background to do specialized research, in the area of stable isotopes (d13C, d15N și d18O) extraction and analysis, from bones recovered from archaeological contexts.

A good record of research activities in which he/she had already been actively involved may represent an asset.

Specific Requirements

Requirements:

- PhD in hand by the time of application deadline.

- Curriculum Vitae (in english) with publications list.

- Cover letter stating candidate’s research interests and demonstrating qualifications for the current research position.

- Two recommendations letters from researchers in the specialization area.
