The Director of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology
University of Warsaw
Competition for a adjunct with doctoral degree

Group of employees – research
Number of position open: one
Planned employees: 1.04.2021 – 31.12.2023
Job requirements:
The successful candidate will fill requirements explicated in art.113 of the Higher Education Law (Law Journal 2020, item 85 amended), and the following:
1. doctoral degree in archaeology;
2. higher education in the field of social sciences;
3. scientific achievements in the field of psychological aspects of creating and acquiring knowledge of the past (supported by publications);
4. experience in conducting research involving people and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (including experience in conducting research using the eye-tracker tool);
5. experience in archeological work carried out outside of Europe
Discipline: archaeology
Key responsibilities include:
1. development of a research plan aimed at identifying the methods of constructing knowledge about the past among archeologists and ways of thinking about the past among people who live in the places where research is carried out by PCMA UW.
2. conducting studies among selected groups;
3.treatment of the research results as well as their publication and
4.other tasks recommended by director of PCMA

The results of the competition will be announced by 05.02.2021. It is the first stage of the employment process for academic teachers set down in the UW Statute; a positive result is essential to proceed further.
PCMA UW reserves the right to change the competition deadline and to
interview selected candidates. Candidates will be informed individually about
interview dates.
